Refund Policy

At Nook & Story, your satisfaction is our priority. All products are quality-checked before shipment. If you encounter any issues with your order, please refer to our policy below.


30-DAY MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all products. If your book nook doesn't exceed your expectations within 30 days of receipt, return it for a full refund.


RETURN ELIGIBILITY

You have 30 days from receiving your item to request a return.

For "Change of Mind" Returns:

Your item must be:

  • In the same condition you received it
  • Unopened and unassembled
  • In original packaging with all components included
  • With proof of purchase (order number or receipt)

For Defective Products:

Normal signs of testing are acceptable. If your product is:

  • Defective or damaged upon arrival
  • Missing pieces or components
  • Not as described or doesn't work as advertised

We'll provide a replacement or full refund at no cost to you.


NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

  • Partially or fully assembled products (for "change of mind" returns only)
  • Opened or used products (for "change of mind" returns only)
  • Items damaged after receipt due to misuse
  • Items without original packaging
  • Custom-made or personalized products (if applicable)

IMPORTANT: Sale items and promotional products have the SAME return rights as full-price items. We do not restrict returns on discounted merchandise.


HOW TO START A RETURN

Step 1: Contact us at support@nookandstory.com within 30 days with:

  • Your order number
  • Reason for return (change of mind OR defective product)
  • Clear photos if the product is defective

Step 2: Receive a Return Authorization (RMA) number and detailed return instructions from our team.

Step 3: Pack and ship your item following the provided instructions.

⚠️ Returns without prior authorization will not be accepted.


RETURN SHIPPING COSTS

Change of Mind Returns:

  • Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility
  • We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping service

Defective or Wrong Products:

  • Return shipping costs are at our expense
  • We will provide a prepaid return label

Missing Pieces:

  • Replacement pieces will be sent free of charge
  • No need to return the entire kit

No restocking fees apply to any returns.


REFUND PROCESSING

Processing Time:

  • Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days after receiving your returned product
  • Once approved, the refund will be credited to your original payment method

Refund Method:

  • Refunds are issued to the same payment method used for the original order

Refunded Amounts:

For "Change of Mind" Returns:

  • Product price: Fully refunded
  • Standard shipping: Not refunded
  • Return shipping: Customer's expense

For Defective Products:

  • Product price: Fully refunded
  • All shipping costs: Fully refunded
  • Return shipping: Provided at our expense

LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS

If you haven't received your refund after 10 business days:

  1. Check your bank account again
  2. Contact your credit card company (processing may take additional time)
  3. Contact your bank (there may be processing delays)
  4. If you've done all of this and still haven't received your refund, contact us at support@nookandstory.com

EXCHANGES

We exchange products if they are defective or damaged.

To request an exchange for the same product, contact us at support@nookandstory.com. We'll process the exchange free of charge.

For exchanges to a different product, please process a return and place a new order.


WRONG PRODUCT RECEIVED

If you receive the wrong product:

  1. Contact us immediately at support@nookandstory.com with photos
  2. We'll provide return instructions and a prepaid label
  3. Once your return is tracking, we'll ship the correct product immediately
  4. All costs are covered by us

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

We process orders quickly, typically within 2 business days.

To cancel your order:

  • Contact us immediately at support@nookandstory.com
  • We'll do our best to stop the shipment
  • If already shipped, you may refuse delivery or process a return once received

Cancellations are not guaranteed once orders enter our fulfillment process.


GIFTS

If your item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return.

If the gift giver received the order and gifted it to you, the refund will be sent to the gift giver.
